James is a director, portfolio strategy at Breckinridge. In his role, James manages many of the firm’s institutional relationships, partners with the investment team to drive innovation, strategy and existing product enhancements, and is responsible for the effective communication of Breckinridge’s investment philosophy to clients and prospects. He joined the firm in 2010 and has over 22 years of investment industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, he spent over 8 years at Gannett Welsh & Kotler LLC. where his primary responsibilities included business development and relationship management within the firm’s Sales and Client Service group. He started his career in the mutual funds department at Loomis Sayles & Company, first as an associate in the sales and marketing group, then as a quantitative/performance analyst in the fund administration group. James is a member of the CFA Society Boston, Inc. James received a B.A. in psychology from Colby College. He holds a Series 65 license and is a CFA® charterholder.
