Denise Thompson

Trade Operations Specialist

Denise is a trade operations specialist at Breckinridge. In her role, she is responsible for the firm’s trading operations and maintains the firm’s relationships between advisors, custodians and contra-brokers. Denise joined Breckinridge in 2013 as a trade operations specialist and assumed interim responsibility of the firm’s Corporate Sustainability Program in 2015. She continues to support Breckinridge’s director of sustainability. Denise also directed the firm’s human resources function from 2016 to 2019. Prior to joining Breckinridge, Denise was a relationship manager at Charles River Development, a software developer specializing in the automation of front-end and back-end business operations of buy-side investment firms. Prior to that, Denise was a high-yield and convertible bond trader at Calamos Asset Management Inc. and a taxable trader at JPMorgan Chase & Co. She is a member of Bentley University’s Hughey Center Advisory Board and B Lab’s B Local Boston Community Board. Denise holds a B.A. in business and finance from Lake Forest College and an MBA in finance and management from the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University.
